Melbourne Anglican Foundation launches Victorian bushfires emergency relief fund

January 7 2020

Dear Friends,

I write on behalf of the Archbishop, and to advise you of a practical way that you and your communities might respond to the disastrous bushfires that have raged across our State and our nation the past few weeks and months, by inviting contributions to the bushfire emergency relief fund opened today by the Melbourne Anglican Foundation Trust.

Donations can be made by using the attached form below, or by credit card online at the link below. If donating online, select the ‘Melbourne Anglican Foundation Trust’ and then ‘General Funds’ when prompted to do so.

Donations made by individuals to the Trust will be directed to those in necessitous circumstances as a result of the bushfire emergency, and will, therefore, be tax deductible. Donations made by entities such as parishes or schools etc. are also welcomed.

Funds raised will be distributed to those in need in consultation with the bishops of the Victorian dioceses effected.

Please do make this known to those in your communities and networks at your earliest convenience, and by whatever means are at your disposal.

With ongoing prayers for the people and communities that continue to be affected, and all who seek to bring them relief.

Bishop Brad Billings
