Stamping out forced labour

Hundreds of the world’s largest supermarket chains will work to eradicate forced labour in their global supply chains.

January 17 2016The Global Foundation has welcomed the ground-breaking announcement, made on 17 January in conjunction with its Rome roundtable meeting, that 400 of the world’s largest supermarket chains and consumer goods companies will work together to eradicate forced labour in their global supply chains.

The global peak industry body, the Consumer Goods Forum, is taking part in the Foundation’s Rome Roundtable, as is Archbishop Philip Freier, the head of the foundation’s advisory council, top Vatican officials and the UK Government’s Anti-Slavery Commissioner.
