Archdeacon Emeritus Stanley Moss

August 19 2016The Venerable Stan Moss died on Friday 12 August 2016, after suffering a stroke a week earlier. He was 94 years of age.

Mr Moss served in the RAF in World War II.

He was ordained to the priesthood in Melbourne in 1952 and collated as Archdeacon of Kew in 1969. He subsequently served as Archdeacon of Melbourne, of Malvern and as a non-territorial Archdeacon.

His parish ministries included Kallista, Mentone-Parkdale and Malvern.

Mr Moss also served the Diocese in theological education and as a Warden of the Mission to Streets and Lanes. He retired in 1991 and continued to serve with Permission to Officiate.

His funeral was held on Friday 19 August at Christ Church St Kilda.

We give thanks to God for the life and ministry of Archdeacon Stan Moss, and pray for his wife Betty, his family and friends at this time.
