The Revd Bill Dalling

January 6 2016The Reverend Alfred (Bill) Dalling died peacefully in hospital, on Sunday 3 January 2016, after a brief illness.

He was made deacon in Gippsland in 1954 and was ordained a priest in 1956 also in Gippsland. 

His ministry included Curate Newborough 1954 to 1956; Vicar Omeo 1956 to 1960; Mission to Seafarers, Sydney 1960 to 1962, Newcastle 1962 to 1968 and Melbourne 1968 to 1972; Incumbent Diamond Creek 1972 to 1978; Incumbent Hamlyn Heights 1978 to 1982; Incumbent Black Rock 1982-1988. 

He retired in Melbourne in 1988 and received the Archbishop’s Permission to Officiate.

His funeral service will be held at St Agnes, Black Rock at 2pm on Friday, 8 January. The family have requested that visiting clergy do not robe.

We give thanks to God for the life and ministry of the Reverend Bill Dalling, and pray for his family at this time.
