The Revd James (Jim) Harvard Cranswick
December 3 2015The Revd James Harvard Cranswick died on Tuesday 24 November.
Jim Cranswick was made a deacon in 1950 and ordained Priest in 1951 in Manchester, UK.
His ministry included Assistant Curate, St Thomas Werneth Oldham (Manchester) 1950-51; Assistant Curate St Pancras’ (London) 1952-54; Priest in Charge Temple Hill Dartford (Rochester) 1954-56; Parish Priest Birregurra (Ballarat) 1957-58; Parish Priest Ararat (Ballarat) 1959-66; Study Leave (Birmingham) 1966-68; Assistant Priest St Saviour Raynes Park (London) 1968-70; Catechist London 1971-75; Priest in Charge, All Saints Preston 1975-77; Interim Pastor of the Department of Evangelism and Extension 1978-88; Associate Priest St George’s Monbulk; Associate Priest, Bayswater & Croydon 2009.
He retired in Melbourne in 1988 and received the Archbishop’s Permission to Officiate.
His funeral service was held at St John’s Dee Why (Sydney) on 2 December.
