Anglican church vandalised in spate of incidents on Peninsula

An Anglican church was among several vandalised on the Mornington Peninsula in May. 

Police have charged a 50-year-old man of no fixed address with 13 counts of criminal damage. 

Mark’s Dromana was one of the churches vandalised between 5 and 25 May. This vandalism allegedly included shattered glass in the vestry, and red paint being thrown through a window, and damage to stained glass windows. 

Investigators have been told eight churches across Dromana, Rosebud and Mornington were vandalised between 5 and 25 May. 

The 50-year-old man has been bailed to appear before the Dromana Magistrates’ Court on 30 November.
