Where would we be at Holy Trinity Lara and Christ Church Little River without our volunteers? They cheerfully turn up to fulfil their turn on the various rosters which ensure that our grounds and buildings are maintained, our op shop runs smoothly, our food relief service is there for those in need and our worship and fellowship services reach out to the communities of Lara and Little River.
The parish runs a busy op shop as well as a weekly food relief program to provide options for those in the community experiencing financial hardship. The op shop also provides people with entry into local recycling or a circular economy – nothing is wasted! Our volunteers come from both the church community and the broader community, all united by the aim of putting back into the community that is so friendly welcoming.
So, great food, a quiz or two to test out memories and wonderful fellowship was enjoyed by more than 50 in the hall at Holy Trinity on Saturday night, 19 November to say “thank you” to our wonderful volunteers.
