Anglican Church of Noosa - Associate Minister



The Anglican Church of Noosa has a position available for an Associate Minister.

ACN has three centres - Tewantin, Sunshine Beach and Peregian.

This role will involve being part of a clergy team across the whole church, but with particular responsibility for the Peregian congregation.

Peregian Springs and Peregian Beach are relatively new suburbs with many children, youth and families. The Peregian Congregation is a church plant established in 2015 and currently averaging 50 to 60 attendees. The person appointed will be someone who relates well and is able to communicate the Gospel effectively to young families.

We are seeking an ordained person with an evangelical theological outlook who is in agreement with the vision and mission of the Anglican Church of Noosa. This is a full-time role with terms and conditions according to the Anglican Church Southern Queensland.

Position Description

The Anglican Church of Noosa exists to glorify God by making disciples of the Lord Jesus. This lies at the heart of all we pray and plan for.

We have been blessed previously with Associate Ministers who have had significant and effective ministries across the parish. We now seek a new appointment to build into the future.

We are looking for an ordained person who has a thorough knowledge of the Bible, a passion to see people grow in discipleship and an ability to connect with young people and young families. They will share the Anglican Church of Noosa’s evangelical theological outlook, marked by a high view of the authority of the Bible and an urgency in living and proclaiming Christ crucified.

This is a full-time role, reckoned to be 6 days per week.

Whilst happy to tailor ministry responsibilities to the gifts of the right person, we are seeking someone to partner with our current ministry team in the following areas:



  • share in preaching and pastoral ministry across the church
  • align with the overall vision and implementation of our growing vision
  • will assume responsibility when the other ministers are absent on annual or conference/study leave
  • will attend Parish Council meetings bringing their experience and insight to bear


  • lead and pastor the Peregian congregation
  • reach out to the Peregian community with the good news of Jesus
  • build up the youth and children’s ministry at Peregian
  • make connections with the St Andrew’s College community


We are looking for someone who

  • Worships
    Knows God and can lead others to love God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength in a variety of worship styles.
  • Leads
    Is able to lead a congregation in mutually agreed goals. Is self-motivated and takes initiatives to see the Church move forward.  Able to delegate and keep others motivated in achieving the vision of the church.
  • Teaches
    Conveys their thorough knowledge of the Bible to others in a way that grows people as disciples of Jesus Christ.
  • Pastors
    Is able to show empathy to others and engage in pastoral conversation that helps people work through the issues in their lives in a Godly way.
  • Administers 
    Understands the value of good systems that allow programmes to run smoothly. Is able to follow Diocesan procedures concerning child safety and WHS.
  • Evangelises
    Has a heart for sharing the faith with non-believers and encourages the congregation to do the same.
  • Loves the Community
    Finds ways to connect with the community to show the blessings of the Kingdom of God and introduce people to the King.

Remuneration will be in accord with the stipend and allowances of the Anglican Church Southern Queensland.
