Eighteen new priests were ordained on 26 November at St Paul’s Cathedral in front of family, friends, clergy and parishioners.

For each one, this ceremony marked the culmination of years of study, training and preparation.
In her sermon, Assistant Bishop the Right Reverend Kate Prowd urged the ordinands to look to Jesus in their ministry as he was their compass.

“Many times over during your life as priests, with all the plans and strategies in the world tucked under your arm perhaps, still you will need, in faith, to set out without quite knowing where you are heading,” she said.
